London, UK – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police are urging the public to come forward with information following the reported rape of a woman in an alleyway in Stratford, East London. The incident occurred on Thursday evening, prompting the release of CCTV footage featuring a man detectives wish to speak to.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, promptly contacted the police to report the attack, which unfolded around 6:50 pm on Thursday. She is currently receiving support from specially trained officers.
The released CCTV images depict a man in a black tracksuit and beige cap, described by Met detectives as tall, slim, and in his 20s. Detective Constable Ben Dailey, who was actively involved in the investigation, stated, “We have carried out several inquiries, including recovering CCTV from around the area. As a result, we are releasing two images of a man we would like to identify. I would ask anyone who recognizes him to come forward immediately.”
