Elgin, IL – The Elgin Police Department (EPD) is issuing a community notification regarding a suspicious incident at Lord’s Park Elementary School on February 5, 2024, at approximately 3:17 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near the school while children were present. Although the vehicle did not make contact with any students, it left the area upon being approached by school staff. The vehicle depicted in this notification has been identified as a suspicious vehicle.
As a precautionary measure, officers will conduct additional surveillance to ensure the school’s and its students’ safety and security.
If you have any information that may assist in the investigation or have observed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Lord’s Park Elementary School, please get in touch with the Elgin Police Department at 847-289-2600.
