Pittsburgh, PA – The Pittsburgh Police Special Victims Unit is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male actor involved in a reported sexual assault incident.
Incident Details: The assault took place at approximately 2 a.m. on March 3, 2024, in the 200 block of Melwood Avenue. The victim, a female, reported that she was accosted by the suspect shortly after disembarking from a PRT bus at the intersection of Centre Avenue and N. Craig Street. The assailant threatened her with a knife or gun, forcing her into a nearby alley where he sexually assaulted her. During the assault, the suspect punched the victim in the eye and brandished a knife. He then fled the scene after possibly hearing something nearby.
Description of Suspect:
- Height: Approximately 5’7″
- Weight: Around 150 pounds
- Age: Possibly in his 30s
- Attire: Wearing all-black clothing and a black ski mask
