The incident occurred in the 6900 block of SW 149th Lane Road, and the stolen camera is estimated to be worth around $355.00.<\/p><p>The construction company responsible for the site had installed a security camera to monitor the property. However, during a routine review of the surveillance footage, it was discovered that the perpetrator stole the camera and brazenly filmed himself in the act. The irony of the situation is evident \u2013 the very camera meant to enhance security ultimately played a pivotal role in identifying the thief.<\/p><p>Law enforcement is now turning to the community for assistance in identifying the individual in the photo released by the Marion County Sheriff&#8217;s Office. If you recognize the suspect or have any information regarding his identity, please get in touch with the Sheriff&#8217;s Office at <a href=\"tele:13527329111\">352-732-9111<\/a>.<\/p><p>Alternatively, anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Marion County by calling <a href=\"tele:13523687867\">352-368-STOP<\/a> or 352-368-7867. Tips can also be provided online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocalacrimestoppers.com\/\">www.ocalacrimestoppers.com<\/a>. When submitting tips to Crime Stoppers, please reference case 24-03. It&#8217;s worth noting that individuals who use Crime Stoppers and provide information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.<\/p><p>The incident is recorded under case number 23-26697, with inquiries directed to J. Williams.
