DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Police Department is appealing to the public for information related to a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, June 4, 2022, in the 4800 block of Military Parkway. The incident involved a group of men in a video who are believed to be connected to a shootout in the parking lot of a sports bar, resulting in the tragic death of Vernon Rivers, 41.
Incident Details: On the aforementioned date at approximately 2:10 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 4800 block of Military Parkway. Vernon Rivers, 41, was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
This incident is an ongoing investigation, and authorities are seeking information regarding the group of men seen in the video. The shootout, stemming from a disturbance outside a sports bar, escalated into deadly gunfire, leading to the victim’s death.
