Ocala, FL – Authorities in Ocala are seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual connected to the theft of an iPhone and credit cards from a Sunoco gas station in Citra. The incident occurred on December 8, and investigators obtained an image of a man using the victim’s credit cards at the Fort McCoy liquor store later that same day.
According to the Ocala Police Department, the suspect targeted the Sunoco gas station at 13003 N. Highway 441 in Citra, where he stole the clerk’s iPhone and credit cards. Detectives have been circulating the man’s image to identify him, but residents have been unable to agree on his actual name.
In an unusual turn of events, many people in the community recognize the suspect, but they struggle to ascertain his name. During their investigation, law enforcement spoke with the suspect’s girlfriend, who claimed not to know his name either.
Citizens are now urged to assist in identifying this individual. Anyone with information about his identity or whereabouts must contact the Ocala Police Department at (352) 732-9111.
