Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual who, while attending a Taylor Swift Concert movie at the AMC Theatre on 11/12/2023, took fandom to an extreme by stealing a 6’ x 4’ poster. The person of interest, seen in photos wearing a black “Billy Strings” cap, not only caused damage to the poster frame but also incurred thousands of dollars in repair costs.
The incident occurred at the AMC Theatre located at 8207 S Olympia Ave. The suspect, affectionately dubbed a “Swiftie” for their apparent enthusiasm for Taylor Swift, attended the concert movie and decided to abscond with the sizable poster on the way out.
While the act may appear juvenile, the consequences are anything but benign. The theft significantly damaged the poster frame, imposing an unexpected financial burden on the theater.
The Tulsa Police Department is now asking the community for help identifying the individual responsible for this theft and vandalism. Anyone with information is urged to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
