The Akron Police Department is seeking crucial information from the public regarding a felonious assault incident that occurred in the early hours of July 5th in the 1400 block of S. Main St.
Incident Details: At approximately 3:50 a.m., officers responded to multiple calls reporting gunshots and yelling in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered a 31-year-old male on Firestone Parkway with a gunshot wound to his arm. The victim was promptly transported to Summa Akron City Hospital for treatment, and thankfully, his injuries were deemed non-life threatening.
Detectives investigating the case are now focused on locating a white Jeep Grand Wagoneer involved in the shooting and identifying its occupants, particularly the right rear passenger. This individual, believed to be approximately 16-25 years old with dreadlocks, was captured on video hanging out of the window and discharging a long-barrel firearm.
