Lakeland, FL—The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a porch pirate involved in a recent grand theft incident on Granite Drive.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. The suspect, depicted in surveillance footage, brazenly stole an iPhone from the victim’s porch shortly after FedEx delivered it. The stolen item was placed inside a “Rue 21” shopping bag before the suspect fled.
The suspect is described as wearing a dark blue North Carolina hoodie, gray joggers, and gray shoes. Additionally, the suspect was observed driving a gray Honda CRV adorned with a reflecting decal on the front window.
