Nottingham, UK Detectives from Nottinghamshire Police are urgently seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated burglary in Hyson Green.
Incident Details: The incident occurred at around 4:35 pm on Monday, February 12, 2024, at an address in Vincent Gardens. A 76-year-old man was assaulted after answering his front door. The suspect, wearing a face covering, forcibly entered the victim’s home and pushed him into the living room, causing him to fall. The victim was then struck on the head with an unknown object, resulting in injuries. The suspect fled the scene with the victim’s wallet, which contained cash and bank cards.
The suspect, described as a tall and slim white male, was captured on CCTV fleeing the scene through Vincent Gardens onto Randal Street, across Craven Road, and then onto Birkin Avenue before heading down a path.
Detective Inspector Chris Berryman emphasized the seriousness of the incident and urged the public to assist in apprehending the violent offender. He stressed the importance of community cooperation in ensuring the safety of residents and preventing similar incidents from occurring in the future.
While acknowledging that the footage of the suspect may not be clear, DI Berryman expressed confidence that someone may recognize the individual based on his distinctive clothing and mannerisms.
